I’m Sanjeev Kumar Rai
I am a member of Bantawa Rai, a group within the Kirat confederation. I was born in Dankha, a small hamlet in the remote hills of Bhojpur district of Nepal. I grew up playing with the nature. I am trying to translate the traditional ecological understanding, that I have learned in my childhood, into the modern ecological space. I am doing a Ph.D. on Ecological Modelling of the Biodiversity in Nepal Himalaya as my latest pursuit. My personality is a long stretch of both good and bad happenings, their memory, history and story. In between these stretch, I am a Botanist, a Civil Service job holder and a nature photographer.
